Recap: Pens Lose To Avs 1-0 by @pghgirl15222
The Pittsburgh Penguins fought the good fight against the Colorado Avalanche on Monday night, but in the end Giguere was the big winner.
The Penguins registered 34 shots, including 7 power plays they failed to capitalize on. Crosby alone out shot Colorado in first period with 5.
While the Pens did lose the game Crosby and Malkin were hammering shots at goalie Giguere but he was much like a brick wall. "It's tough when they don't go in like that" said Crosby of the shots. Translation: I'm pissed. And who could blame him?

A huge note of the game is the Penguins defensemen who blocked 11 shots and limited Colorado's shots to 14.
This is the thing. The Penguins did not play poorly. They matched Colorado's speed and worked hard. Sometimes they get lazy etc. but that was not the case last night. I saw very few mistakes. Pucks just didn't go in.

Fear not though, Penguins faithful. Your team will bounce back Friday versus the Islanders
